ScienceLogic provides an AIOps platform that delivers self-healing, self-optimizing IT operations across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This Associate Software Engineer, Test role focuses on automation testing, maintaining test environments in AWS and on-prem, analyzing CI results, and collaborating on defect resolution.
What you will do
- Use testing tools and frameworks to streamline automation testing and reduce test cycles
- Identify, document, and track defects with development teams
- Create and maintain integration testing environments on-premises and in AWS
- Create and maintain test data for automation tests
- Analyze daily CI test automation run results
- Conduct manual and automated testing of software and hardware
- Incorporate and run test automation scripts within the CI process
- Participate in code reviews of automated scripts and tests
- Investigate new tools, processes, and frameworks for efficient automation testing
What the employer expects
- Familiarity with Python
- Experience creating, maintaining and executing test automation scripts in Python and/or JavaScript with optional BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin)
- Working knowledge of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
- Familiarity with VMware and AWS environments
- Ability to create individual test cases and test plans
- Ability to at least read Python code
- Experience with Linux
- Self-starter who can learn quickly
