About this role
Parspec builds an AI-native platform for the construction materials supply chain, helping distributors and rep agencies quote faster and operate more efficiently. As the first dedicated Application Security Engineer you will own end-to-end application security, fix real vulnerabilities in the Django/React stack and build automated security gates into CI/CD.
What you will do
- Own application security for Django REST APIs, React frontend and Python backend
- Fix known vulnerabilities including SSRF, IDOR and permission gaps
- Conduct regular security assessments of web applications, APIs and cloud infrastructure
- Build automated security gates into CI/CD using GitHub Actions
- Integrate SAST, DAST and SCA tooling into the development pipeline
What the employer expects
- 4+ years in application security for web applications, APIs and cloud
- Hands-on experience securing Python/Django applications
- Deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and how to fix real code issues
- AWS security experience (IAM, VPC, security groups, encryption)
- Experience building security automation into CI/CD pipelines
- Pen testing skills on production systems
