About this role
Himaya is an early-stage, AI-native email and SaaS security startup building autonomous threat detection for cloud workspaces. This role builds the product end-to-end, from Python/FastAPI backend services to the React/TypeScript frontend used by security teams, shipping features within days.
What you will do
- Build product features across email security, DLP and DSPM
- Develop backend services in Python/FastAPI with PostgreSQL, Redis and queue workers
- Build integrations with Microsoft 365 (Graph) and Google Workspace APIs
- Build React/TypeScript frontend dashboards and investigation views
- Write tests with every change; keep pytest suite and builds green
- Maintain separation between mail content and configuration access in every endpoint
What the employer expects
- 1-3 years of software engineering experience (strong new grads welcome)
- Solid Python; working knowledge of TypeScript and React
- Comfortable with SQL and relational data modelling (ideally PostgreSQL)
- Experience designing/consuming REST APIs
- Writes tests as part of the work
