About this role
Mactores is an AWS modernization firm that moves customers off legacy infrastructure with the help of its own agent platform. This senior role owns build and release cycles for customer projects and leads migrations to AWS. It is client-facing and works across US and India teams.
What you will do
- Automate infrastructure with Terraform and CloudFormation
- Own application configuration management and IaC deployment
- Own the build and release cycle for customer projects
- Share deployment, operations and maintenance duties
- Improve Jenkins, Bitbucket, Consul, Graphite and Grafana tooling
- Migrate legacy infrastructure to the cloud
- Set and enforce operational best practices
- Help hire and mentor engineers
What the employer expects
- 4+ years with Terraform
- 4+ years in configuration management and systems engineering
- 4+ years of Linux or Windows administration
- 4+ years with Git branching and merging strategies
- 2+ years hands-on with AWS
- 2+ years with Ansible or Chef
- 2+ years with Kubernetes (EKS), ECS and Docker
- Preferred: multi-cloud experience and AWS certifications
