About this role
Databricks sells a data and AI platform used by thousands of organizations. This customer-facing engineer embeds with client teams to design and ship production data and AI systems on the platform, and feeds reusable assets back to the company.
What you will do
- Deliver production-grade customer solutions, reference architectures and custom apps
- Guide strategic customers through large data and AI projects
- Own architecture and design decisions for security and scalability
- Work with engagement managers, architects and customer teams on delivery
- Embed with customer teams, from engineers to executives
- Feed product feedback to engineering and support
- Build reusable accelerators and best practices
What the employer expects
- 6+ years in data engineering, data platforms or software engineering
- Code in Python, Scala or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Working knowledge of two cloud platforms, expertise in one
- Deep Apache Spark experience, including runtime internals
- CI/CD for production deployments
- MLOps, ML models and AI APIs
- Project delivery and enterprise client experience
- Travel to customers about 20% of the time
