Drivetrain is a remote-first financial planning and decision-making platform, founded in 2021 by ex-Googlers and backed by leading VCs. This Data Engineer lays the foundation of the company's data engineering practice, building pipelines and DBT-based transformations.
What you will do
- Build and monitor large-scale data pipelines ingesting data from a variety of sources
- Develop and scale the company's DBT setup for transforming data
- Work with the data platform team to solve customer problems
- Use advanced SQL and big data skills to craft data solutions
What the employer expects
- 1-5+ years in a data engineering role, high-growth startup experience preferred
- Expert-level SQL skills
- At least 1 year of experience with DBT
- At least 1 year of experience with a leading data warehouse
- Track record of building new data engineering processes and working through ambiguity
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and fix problems hands-on
- Intellectual curiosity and research ability
