About this role
Netomi is a YC-backed agentic AI platform that automates customer experience for large enterprises like airlines and insurers. This backend engineer builds Java-based REST services for its platform and handles scale, availability and deployment work on AWS.
What you will do
- Plan, design and build SOA backend platforms centered on REST
- Work with Java frameworks (Spark, Spring, ORM)
- Do high-level and low-level design of scalable components
- Triage bugs and manage the backlog with business owners
- Cover scale, availability, performance and security needs
- Handle build, deployment and DevOps work on AWS
- Help technical advisors define the project roadmap
What the employer expects
- 1-3 years of proficient Java/J2EE
- Experience with Amazon Web Services or a similar environment
- SOA, multitenant or SaaS platform experience is a plus
- Scripting for automated builds and deployments is a plus
