About this role
Element Solutions delivers modern digital solutions for government and commercial customers. This junior QA automation role develops and maintains automated tests, executes test cases, documents defects, and improves testing practices under senior guidance.
What you will do
- Develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts based on requirements and test plans
- Write and modify test code to validate application functionality
- Assist in creating automated tests for new features, enhancements and bug fixes
- Update and expand existing test scripts and automation frameworks
- Execute automated and manual test cases
- Assist with integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows
- Perform functional, regression, integration and smoke testing
- Identify, document and report software defects with clear reproduction steps
What the employer expects
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or Associates plus two years' experience
- 0-2 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, test automation or application development
- Foundational knowledge of programming concepts and at least one language such as Python, Java, JavaScript or C#
- Understanding of software testing principles including test cases, defect reporting and regression testing
- Must live in the Continental US
- US citizen or Permanent Resident
- Ability to obtain Public Trust or security clearance if required
