About this role
Algoleap builds AI-powered software, digital products and IT consulting services. This junior forward-deployed engineer role builds, tests and supports GenAI solution modules on Google Cloud, working under a Senior FDE and POD Lead with regular client exposure. Two positions are open.
What you will do
- Develop and test Python modules, APIs and data pipelines
- Deploy and maintain services on GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage)
- Build and tune prompts and LLM calls
- Prepare data for RAG and evaluation
- Support voice and document workflows by configuring speech and OCR services
- Test outputs and fix edge cases
- Debug issues using logs and traces
- Raise blockers early
What the employer expects
- 1+ years of solid Python: OOP, exception handling, file processing, collections
- Core Python concepts: generators, decorators, comprehensions, iterators, package management
- Data structures and algorithms basics, including time and space complexity
- Ability to write clean, modular, testable code
- Hands-on exposure to LLM APIs (Gemini, OpenAI or similar)
- Experience with APIs, JSON, data handling and Git
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Good to have: Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or GenAI certification, GenAI projects, SQL, Docker
