About this role
Backbase builds an AI-native banking platform used by banks worldwide. This role is a web engineer who uses AI coding tools to ship Angular front-end features and the backend integrations behind them for its digital banking and wealth products.
What you will do
- Use AI coding assistants and LLM workflows to speed up feature delivery
- Deliver production features from Angular components to backend microservice integrations
- Write clean, testable TypeScript/Angular code with Nx, RxJS and the Backbase Design System
- Run unit and integration tests and uphold accessibility, security and performance standards
- Work in a cross-functional Scrum squad with UX, QA and product
What the employer expects
- 2+ years of professional software engineering with a modern web focus
- Hands-on Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), RxJS, HTML5 and SASS/CSS
- Practical use of AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor
- Foundational knowledge of REST APIs, microservices and CI/CD
- Strong written and spoken English
- Familiarity with Nx, npm or Webpack is a plus
