About this role
Amgen is a biotechnology company modernizing how it prepares regulatory submissions using generative AI and structured content. This engineer builds and scales LLM applications and MLOps pipelines from development to production.
What you will do
- Build and deploy applications using LLMs such as GPT-4, Claude and Gemini
- Maintain MLOps pipelines covering ingestion, versioning, chunking, vectorization and deployment
- Use AWS, GCP or Azure for model training and deployment
- Apply DevOps/MLOps/LLMOps practices to automate workflows
- Set up monitoring for model performance
- Run A/B tests to improve models
- Work with data scientists, engineers and product teams
What the employer expects
- Strong foundation in ML algorithms and techniques
- Python with ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn and LangChain
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Master's + 1-3 years, or Bachelor's + 3-5 years, or Diploma + 7-9 years in software, data science or ML engineering
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication with global virtual teams
- Good to have: custom LLM solutions, Docker/Kubernetes/CI-CD, data pipelines
