About this role
Hevo Data builds data pipeline tooling that moves data between SaaS applications and analytics destinations. This entry-level backend role has you build SaaS connectors and small REST components under mentorship, plus internal AI-built tools for business teams.
What you will do
- Implement SaaS connectors, learning each app's auth and extraction quirks
- Help build simple REST API components with clean code and tests
- Debug and optimize pipeline code under mentorship
- Contribute to feature breakdown, coding and documentation of smaller tasks
- Solve integration issues and improve component quality
- Build internal tools with AI for business teams
What the employer expects
- Basic OOP skills and design principles
- Exposure to data pipelines or APIs
- Foundational REST API knowledge (calls, JSON)
- Proficiency in Java, TypeScript or Python
- Good problem-solving with data structures and algorithms
- Strong analytical and logical thinking
