About this role
Clearwater's consulting team runs security assessments and red team engagements for clients across varied technology environments. As a junior consultant you support vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, write up findings, and build offensive security skills under senior guidance.
What you will do
- Assist with VAPT across web apps, APIs, mobile, network, cloud and wireless
- Perform reconnaissance, enumeration, and vulnerability validation
- Separate genuine vulnerabilities from scanner false positives
- Support red team engagements under senior guidance
- Test using methodologies such as OWASP, PTES and NIST
- Write reports with evidence, risk ratings and remediation advice
- Join client discussions and technical walkthroughs
- Keep skills current through labs, CTFs and research
What the employer expects
- 1-3 years in cybersecurity, VAPT or security testing
- Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Cybersecurity or similar
- Solid grasp of networking and Windows/Linux
- Knowledge of web app architecture and common vulnerabilities
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and MITRE ATT&CK
- Hands-on use of tools like Burp Suite, Nmap and Nessus
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Certifications such as CEH, eJPT, PNPT, Security+ or OSCP are preferred
