About this role
GRVTY is a national security technology contractor. This junior backend role supports a multi-team agile program, building Python services, data connectors and API endpoints and deploying them in containers to Kubernetes test clusters.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain Python backend services, scripts and endpoints
- Help implement data connectors, API endpoints and messaging interfaces
- Write unit and integration tests
- Reproduce and fix defects with senior guidance
- Package code in Docker and deploy to Kubernetes test clusters with Helm and CI/CD
- Take part in agile ceremonies and code reviews

- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's in a STEM field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of professional backend software engineering
- Solid Python and basic Bash
- PostgreSQL querying and conceptual Redis familiarity
- Basic Dockerfile and Kubernetes knowledge
- Practical Git and CI/CD test experience
