About this role
Bountiful is building a system of record for agriculture, digitizing farm data and forecasting crop yields. This role leads all software development for the product and internal tools, including automating crop data pipelines.
What you will do
- Maintain codebase, databases, infrastructure and CI
- Drive V2 of the core OS product and automate crop pipelines
- Optimize a Postgres/PostGIS database for sub-second dashboards
- Improve internal tools tracking pipeline status
- Resolve technical debt and harden security
- Coordinate contract developers and future hires
- Document code, architecture and data schemas
- Report to the Head of Product and CEO
What the employer expects
- 6+ years of software experience, ideally at a startup
- Ships production software from frontend to infra
- Python, modern JS frameworks, cloud and SQL at scale
- Uses AI tools as a productivity multiplier
- Clear communication and documentation
- Scrum/Agile experience with Jira
