About this role
SonicWall is a cybersecurity company selling network, endpoint and cloud security to SMBs and MSPs through a large partner network. This QA role validates networking and security products, builds automated functional, CLI and API tests, and works with developers on defect resolution and release validation.
What you will do
- Learn networking, firewall and switch technologies and the test infrastructure
- Design and run test plans, cases and scenarios
- Log, track and verify defects through the testing life cycle
- Build and maintain automated functional, system, CLI and API tests
- Analyze test failures and work with developers on fixes
- Improve test processes and frameworks through automation
- Join root cause analysis, regression and release validation
- Contribute to testing best practices
What the employer expects
- 2-3 years in software QA, preferably on networking, firewall, switch or security products
- Hands-on test automation and CLI/API automation with open-source tools
- Strong grasp of SDLC and STLC
- Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Preferred: Python or Shell scripting
- Preferred: networking protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPN)
- Preferred: Agile and CI/CD exposure
