About this role
Volta builds and operates large-scale GPU compute infrastructure for AI workloads, with a Kubernetes-native platform across multiple regions. Platform engineers here write production platform code for the automated stack that delivers virtual machines, storage and networking through custom Kubernetes operators.
What you will do
- Design Kubernetes operators and controllers for platform resource lifecycles
- Turn product roadmap requirements into platform capabilities
- Build and operate compute, storage and networking platform services
- Add observability, metrics and tooling for platform health
- Build security guidance into platform-level controls
What the employer expects
- Comfortable working close to infrastructure: Linux, networking, distributed systems
- Experience operating what you build, including on-call and incident response
- Strong fundamentals: clean code, testing, version control, code review, CI/CD
- Experience building SaaS or PaaS layers on an IaaS platform is a plus
- Exposure to GPU infrastructure or HPC is a plus
