About this role
Ramp builds spend management and finance automation software for businesses. The Credit Engineering team owns underwriting, limit management and portfolio optimization, and this backend role covers real-time decisioning systems and agent tooling that automate credit decisions.
What you will do
- Architect stateful systems for automated credit limit management
- Build agents and tools that automate manual credit decisions
- Develop high-volume, low-latency risk controls
- Design real-time decisioning across the credit lifecycle
- Work with analysts, data scientists and product on risk strategy
What the employer expects
- 2+ years of backend engineering
- Proficiency in Python or a comparable backend language
- Experience with distributed systems and async frameworks
- Turns business problems into data models and technical specs
- Experience with auditability, observability and correctness guarantees
- Works well with non-engineering partners
