About this role
Poppulo is a fast-growing global technology company with offices in Ireland, the US and the UK. This full-stack engineer owns features end to end, from development through deployment and production support, on business-critical applications, while working with product, support and DevOps teams.
What you will do
- Design, build, test and deploy new features and enhancements
- Maintain and improve existing applications and services
- Troubleshoot and fix defects and production issues
- Own assigned features from development to production support
- Monitor application performance and reliability
- Write automated tests and join peer code reviews
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
- Use AI coding assistants and review their output critically
What the employer expects
- 5+ years building and maintaining production applications
- Strong TypeScript/JavaScript and React with HTML/CSS
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL
- Experience with Docker and basic networking concepts
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently in a distributed team
- Preferred: cloud, serverless, event-driven and messaging experience
- Preferred: MongoDB, Redis, Kubernetes, CI/CD and application security
