GE Vernova is focused on electrification and decarbonization solutions. The Quality Assurance Engineer tests features and small feature sets, working independently to break down problems and estimate time for quality-related tasks in digital engineering.
What you will do
- Responsible for testing a feature and or a small feature set
- Break down problems and estimate time for quality related tasks
- Demonstrate increasing expertise in application domain and functional areas
- Apply various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC
- Take ownership of small tasks and deliver without supervision
- Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security
- Work independently and deliver testing and use case creation
- Write effective tests according to best practices
- Collaborate with development team in bugs fixing and build plans
- Collaborate with Quality Leaders in creating test plans
- Implement and configure testing tools
- Implement system-level integration testing
- Define quality metrics, best practices and coding patterns
What the employer expects
- Good Programming experience in TypeScript/JavaScript
- Experience in UI Test Automation using Selenium, Playwright, WebDriverIO
- Experience testing APIs and automation with Karate/Rest Assured/Playwright
- Skilled in core data structures and algorithms
- Experience in writing, executing and monitoring automated test suites using Cucumber, Playwright, Selenium
