About this role
J&J's Innovative Medicine R&D IT group builds software for safety, regulatory and clinical teams. This lead-level engineer owns the technical design of AI and generative AI products and guides junior engineers.
What you will do
- Lead design and delivery of AI and GenAI solutions for Safety, Regulatory and Clinical functions
- Integrate cloud and automation technologies into products
- Maintain product roadmaps aligned to customer needs
- Define technical requirements with data scientists and business partners
- Optimize performance and scalability on cloud infrastructure
- Track product metrics and user feedback to drive improvements
- Mentor junior engineers
What the employer expects
- 2-5 years of engineering experience in AI, GenAI, cloud and automation
- 2-5 years of software development experience
- Strong grasp of ML algorithms, neural networks and AI frameworks
- Hands-on with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in Python, Java or C++
- Solid data structures knowledge
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD
- Preferred: pharma domain knowledge (clinical, safety, regulatory)
