Ericsson is a global telecommunications leader building next-generation networks and software. This Data Engineer role focuses on high-volume, low-latency data platforms that power GenAI systems, AI agents and enterprise copilots for Telecom OSS/BSS.
What you will do
- Build and operate large-scale high-throughput data systems
- Develop scalable solutions using Python and Java
- Design and optimise distributed data pipelines with Apache Spark
- Engineer batch and streaming data processing systems
- Work with Cassandra and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
- Develop REST APIs and microservices with Spring Boot
- Build RAG pipelines and embeddings/vector store systems
- Implement MLOps pipelines with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD
What the employer expects
- Strong Python and Java expertise for production systems
- Hands-on Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala/Java)
- Experience with high-volume low-latency system design
- Knowledge of Cassandra, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and NoSQL modelling
- Experience building scalable APIs and microservices
- Hands-on cloud platforms (AWS or GCP)
