About this role
Ema builds Universal AI Employees that automate busy work across HR, IT and Finance for enterprises. The Security Engineer Intern gains hands-on experience in web and API security, red teaming and compliance support while helping secure the platform.
What you will do
- Perform manual web application and API penetration testing
- Assist with red teaming activities
- Support governance, compliance, audits and reporting
- Support SAST, SCA and other InfoSec operations
- Monitor compliance requirements and triage security alerts
What the employer expects
- Experience with reconnaissance and red teaming tools such as Amass, Nmap, ffuf, Nuclei
- Proficiency with Burp Suite or OWASP ZAP for manual testing
- Strong understanding of web and API security including OWASP Top 10
- Exposure to bug bounty programs or CTF competitions
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms and IAM concepts
