About this role
Kodiak AI builds vehicle-agnostic autonomous driving technology powering long-haul and industrial trucking. The machine learning deployment team optimizes and deploys onboard perception, prediction, and planning models onto autonomous trucks.
What you will do
- Design and deploy onboard machine learning models optimizing latency and performance
- Perform model quantization, pruning, ONNX or TensorRT conversion, and custom GPU profiling
- Validate deployed offboard models against onboard performance using HIL testing
- Collaborate with robotics and simulation teams to integrate ML models into production systems
- Analyze real-world driving logs to identify edge cases and improve model robustness
What the employer expects
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or related field
- 6+ years of experience deploying machine learning or deep learning systems in production
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and modern ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience with large-scale distributed training and model optimization
- Strong software engineering fundamentals in testing, debugging, and system design
