About this role
Welo Data is an AI data services company. This is a 4-week freelance QA engagement starting 19 October at 40 hours a week, with possible full-time conversion. The analyst tests a multi-step web onboarding workflow and turns observed behavior into a validated state model.
What you will do
- Run exploratory and boundary testing on form and submission flows
- Design test cases using equivalence partitioning
- Validate behavior against defined state models
- Lead defect triage by severity and impact
- Work with developers to confirm root causes and fixes
- Mentor junior QA testers
- Maintain the onboarding state-transition model
- Hand off an evidence package to the middleware SDET workstream
What the employer expects
- 3-5+ years as a QA analyst on frontend and middleware
- Exploratory and boundary testing expertise
- Formal test design techniques
- State-machine and workflow validation familiarity
- Strong defect triage experience
- Experience testing multi-step onboarding or registration flows (preferred)
- Browser and network dev tools familiarity (preferred)
