About this role
Cognizant is an AI Builder and technology services provider that builds full-stack AI solutions for clients. This architect-level role extends the generative AI surface of Flowsource inside client environments by building RAG pipelines, configuring Code Companion and governing GenAI adoption.
What you will do
- Design and deploy RAG pipelines grounded on client codebases, architecture docs, ADRs, runbooks and standards
- Configure Flowsource Code Companion and the Flowsource VS Code extension
- Build and curate a client-specific prompt library
- Govern coexistence with GitHub Copilot or equivalent
- Run output quality evaluations against coding standards, hallucination rate and security checks
- Instrument Gen AI adoption metrics
- Stay current on LLM choice and manage cost, latency and quality trade-offs
What the employer expects
- 5 plus years software engineering with at least 1 to 2 years building production RAG Gen AI systems
- Hands-on with LangChain or LlamaIndex and vector databases
- LLM API depth on at least one of AWS Bedrock or Azure OpenAI
- Strong Python and comfort with TypeScript for VS Code extension points
- Evaluation literacy building eval harnesses and golden sets
- Awareness of enterprise AI governance, data residency, prompt logging and PII handling
